Our Journey

Since 2006, started on the kitchen table, we have shared a path and challenges familiar
to so many small and medium businesses as they grew and adapted to a rapidly changing world.

2006

Began building and fixing computers on the kitchen table (which to this day still bears the scars of this history) and formed as HCS New Zealand Ltd trading as Hillcrest Computer Services.

2011

Moved to Chartwell Hamilton and rebranded under PC Heroes as we continued to forge strong relationships which modern suppliers in the markets – as we continued to meet and provide services for businesses in need of plain English IT Services.

2013

Moved into commercial premises in Chartwell and began focusing dedicated staff and teams on delivering a more proactive and diverse range of services tailor made for businesses – while continuing to serve customers in the repair and hardware market.

2017

Began acquiring Millennium Technology brands in Hamilton and Tauranga to help support their legacy customer base with modern solutions. Millennium Technology, formed in 1996 and became one of the leading computer manufacturers throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Rotorua and Tauranga. We are proud to amalgamate their rich history and experience in computer manufacturing and support industry and to bring a new range of modern products and services to their customer base.

2019

With Millennium Technology under our belt – we consolidated the business under the Millennium Technology name as our focus changed heavily to Business IT Solutions and Security.

2020

While still privately owned family business based here in Hamilton – we gained accreditation as a Spark Partner to help look after Spark SME customers throughout the Waikato Region – which has introduced us to many new and exciting small and medium businesses while providing a powerful partnership and support to help us deliver more effective services to customers.

2022

We consolidated retail operations into our business-to-business departments to focus all team resources on delivery of high value Business solutions and begin a transformation into one of the New Zealand’s most trusted and respected Business IT Providers.

Today

We remain steadfast in our vision to be one of New Zealand’s most trusted and respected business IT Providers for Small to Medium sized businesses. All the credit goes to our wonderful team, and our loyal customers, who have helped us create something quite special and exciting – right here in the Waikato.
